United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS)
This is the name given to the body of water that surrounds the United Kingdom (UK). This includes the North Sea, Irish Sea and the English Channel. The UK has the right over the minerals in these waters.
The UNFCCC was established in 1992 as the main forum for international action on Climate Change. Its main aim is to prevent dangerous man-made climate change. Since its creation over 195 countries have joined the convention. The convention cover four main areas; Mitigating greenhouse gasses, adapting to climate change, reporting national emissions and financing climate action in developing countries.
The price per unit of energy which includes 3 components only – energy wholesale price (energy at NBP), infrastructure costs and a cost to serve element.
