Updates to Carbon Reduction Commitment sceme
In a 136 page document released today Government announced a number of changes to the CRC.
First change is that of the name, the programme will now be known as the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. Participation fees are also announced with registration costing £950 and annual subscription of £1290.
Further changes include:
- scrapping of the double purchase and recycle of allowances, significantly better for cash flow. 2010 - 2011 will now be a monitoring year.
- large subsidiary companies can now choose to participate independently of their parent organisation.
- early action metrics weighting to change to get greater weighting in year 2
